POLAND-RUSSIA Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014–2020
Project "Connected by amber. Joint actions to share the amber heritage ”is implemented within the Poland-Russia Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020. Its main goal is to protect and promote cultural, historical and natural heritage in the Kaliningrad Oblast and Pomorskie Voivodeship.
The partners strive to increase the attractiveness of the tourist offer in natural, cultural and historical heritage places and to provide inhabitants and tourists with access to collections related to the history and cultural heritage of Gdańsk and Kaliningrad.
During the implementation of the project in the years 2019-2021, the following tasks will be carried out: creation of a permanent exhibition in the new location of the Amber Museum – historic Great Mill in Gdańsk, construction and executive project of conservation and adaptation works of the historic amber manufacture in Kalingrad, reconstruction of 6 garages located on at the back of the manufacture and their transformation into new storages, as well as purchase of appropriate equipment.
The total budget of the project is 2 293 426.24 €, whereas the co-financing value is equal to 2 064 083.61 €
